Printed at the top of every anesthesia record. Saved on this computer only (no patient information). Anything left blank is left off the record.
Anesthesia checklists (your SOP)
One step per line. Staff tick these during each anesthetic; the time of each tick is printed in the record. Start a line with [cat], [dog], [rb] (rebreathing) or [nrb] (non-rebreathing) to show it only for those patients. {circuit}, {bag}, {o2} and {fluids} are filled in from the patient's body weight. The default steps are your clinic's SOP, corrected to AAHA 2020 and Lumb & Jones. Saved on this computer (no patient information).
Digital checklist
Tick each step on screen as it is done; the time is recorded. These are the same ticks as in the patient tabs (2, 3 and 4), so ticking here or there updates both, and they print in the anesthesia record. Like all patient information, ticks are wiped when the record is finished or discarded.

Clinic drug library
Each drug is listed once. If a drug is used more than one way (for example premedication IM and induction IV), press "+ Add use" and give each use its own dose range and route; in the plan you pick the drug, then the use. Your clinic's own drugs, concentrations and dose ranges. Doses in the patient plan are calculated only from this list. It starts with the drugs from your clinic's "anesthetic drug calculator – revised 2026" spreadsheet; edit, add or remove drugs and press "Save library". Your veterinarians own every dosing decision. This list is saved on this computer (no patient information).

CPR drug concentrations
The CPR tab and the CPR wall chart use RECOVER 2024 doses (the only doses built into this tool) and these concentrations to work out volumes. Check that they match the vials in your crash cart and change any that differ.
Monitoring settings
Alarm thresholds for the live record. Defaults come from the sources shown; change them to match your clinic's protocol.
Heart-rate alarm by body weight: AAHA 2020 sets the high heart-rate alarm at 150 bpm for large dogs and 190 bpm for small dogs but gives no body weight, so your clinic chooses it here. Dogs at or above this body weight alarm above 150 bpm; lighter dogs alarm above 190 bpm. Circuit: AAHA 2020 uses non-rebreathing for patients under 3–5 kg and rebreathing above. The patient's circuit is picked from this weight automatically and can be changed for any patient.

While an anesthetic is in progress, this record is kept on this computer so it survives a closed tab or restart. It is wiped as soon as you finalize it or discard it.
Pre-anesthetic assessment
Equipment & support
AAHA 2020: basal rate for healthy dogs 5 mL/kg/hr, cats 3 mL/kg/hr; adjust for the patient's needs.
Drug plan
Pick drugs from your clinic library. Doses are calculated from the weight above and the drug's concentration. A veterinarian must check and sign the plan before drugs are given.

Each patient's record is kept separately until it is finished or discarded. Choose the one to continue, or start a new patient. A record open in another tab or window can't be opened here at the same time.
